Meadows Racetrack and Casino CEO bittersweet, but deal too good to pass up

Cannery, which is based in Las Vegas, will be exiting the Meadows sometime in 2015 after the consummation of a $465 million deal with REIT Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc. of Wyomissing. GLPI will own the land and the buildings, while the casino will be operated -- and the license owned -- by a separate company that has yet to be announced or approved.
