Assault Trooper test print

Here are some shots of an Assault Trooper, warts and all. I did not spend much time cleaning up the print because it was not going to be used as a master, just to test fit components such as the shoulders, tasset and tabard; so there are some very rough spots on the outside of the shoulders, the sword blade edge and a few other places where the build lattice was attached.

The Heavy troopers are scaled to be a good match with the Stormtroopers. About 1mm taller than the Stormtroopers (some shrink can be seen in the print), and a bit more bulk overall. Keep in mind when comparing to other mini lines, the Stormtroopers will be on the tall side, so although these may look a little small, they are large enough to look like steal the milk money from many of the other popular mini companies lines and small enough to look like Eisenkern Stormtrooper sized person could actually fit into the suit.

WGF China informed me that they are making progress with the Heavy Troopers so it seemed appropriate to post this. Enjoy!

It’s about damn time!

Many of you have seen unpainted or primered shots of the Stormtroopers. Since the release there have been many talented painter working their craft. These are the first set painted for DreamForge-Games.

Most miniature companies will not release a product until it has gone off to the painter and they have some nice shots for advertising…. Oh sure, I could do that... but Kickstarters have a way of turning the ‘proper way of doing things’ on their heads. That’s a bit of an excuse really, if you follow my blog you know I never paint things up :)

Here are a few shots from a very talented painter that is working on some marketing paint jobs for me.

What about stage 2 you ask?

I was hoping we would make some of our lost time up from stage 1 but it appears we will not…. I have seen the Mortis in its component parts but I am waiting on shots of an assembled Mortis from China. The 15mm Crusader is basically completed, I just need to rework the instructions and complete the box art. The other weapon arms are moving right along and I have been told they will be ready soon.

As I get shots of the plastic for stage 2 I will post an update and pics here as well.

Back to work….

Pics from around the web

I apologize for not properly attributing the photos, I nabbed them as I found them ;) but I wanted to show some painted figs and some neat ideas.

This is why I don't paint...

David Woods over at DWARTIST'S did a speed paint on a Strumtruppen that is better than I can do if given two weeks time.

Hats off to you sir!
