Fresh on the heels of yesterday's expose, our own Bob V tipped me to this debacle:
"Surgeons say patients in some parts of England have spent months waiting in pain because of delayed operations or new restrictions on who qualifies for treatment."
We know from recent experience that even (former) MVNHS© Directors are not immune to the vagaries of the government-run health care scheme, but at least that case had certain complications involved. What's now coming to light is that the same kinds of problems affect even routine procedures.
The driving force?
The MVNHS© needs to slash more than $32 Billion over the next four years.
Ouch!
And what kinds of surgeries are at the top of the list?

"[H]ip and knee replacements are being targeted as a way of finding savings."
And just which demographic does one suppose is most affected?
It's not immediately clear why the rocket surgeons at the top of that food chain believe that simply delaying these procedures will save money, but in a classic example of British understatement, Peter Kay, the president of the British Orthopaedic Association, avers "that simply delaying surgery by one means or another does not improve the outcome for patients as their condition can deteriorate."
Ya think?
Of course, this is one of the the systems on which ObamaCare© is modeled, so better drink your milk and watch where you're walking.
