On December 1-3 in New York City, Henry Blodget and the Business Insider team will produce a cutting-edge conference on the future of media as it intersects with technology and changes everything about how we learn, work, and live. The recently released program lists a full line-up of digital leaders who will share what they see on the horizon and what you can do to stay ahead. Here are just a few of the speakers who will take the stage at The TimeCenter:
David Karp, the founder and CEO of Tumblr, who fused social-network horsepower with an eye-candy factory for anything from words and images to music and video. Yahoo! paid over $1B for Tumblr and it's 200 million+ blogs, including names like Disney, Coca-Cola, Comedy Central, Lexus, and Calvin Klein. Karp remains the CEO.
Beth Comstock, GE's SVP & CMO, who took the industrial giant on a head-turning trip across the native-ad frontier with campaigns such as "Six-Second Science Fair" and "Back to the Future". Comstock also had a hand in the early development of hulu.com and Peacock Equity, as well as the acquisition of ivillage.com, while at NBC Universal.
Jeff Bezos, is the founder & CEO of Amazon.com. He revolutionized ecommerce with Amazon, which sells more than the next dozen competitors combined. Bezos is also the founder of aerospace company Blue Origin, which supports solar exploration and may one day enable us to take a flight into space safely and more affordably.
Barry Diller is Chairman and Senior Executive at both IAC and Expedia, Inc. This Internet, media and entertainment mogul served as Chairman and CEO of Fox, Inc. and was responsible for the creation of Fox Broadcasting Company in addition to Fox's motion picture operations.
Owen Mahoney is the CEO of the leading, global, free-to-play gaming company, Nexon, which pioneered the concept of the microtransaction model. Mahoney is a rare example of a foreign executive at the top of a Japanese company. Under his leadership, Nexon successfully completed its $1.2 billion IPO on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
…and many more.
